Whoaaaa… Just found my new series… Cobra Kai… Based (or more twenty years later) on the first Karate Kid movie
Oh yes Germany that’s it. I have not seen any German shows but I do struggle with subtitles so it would have to be dubbed.
Buffy is defiantly in top 5 shows EVER.
Oh yes I have added Cobra Kai to my long list of shows to watch, I saw the trailer the other day, it looks good. I’m even tempted to watch that show The Legend Of The Monkey King just for Michelle Ang.
Already in episode 4…thats record for me! Absolutely well done… Cool story line of Johnny and Daniel and do cool that it are the original guys from back the days… And the other actors are really good too!
Ah yes heard of that… There are also some were Toni stared… Might try to find those
They even use the music from the movies… Just was the episode in memorial of Pat N(the actor of Mr Myagi) Daniel remembers him and in the last scene he is in his Dojo wearing his old suit, the music sounds up and he trains the katas he learnt all that years back… GOOSEBUMP all over… Woa…
Right now I’m currently watching, Burn Notice (2007), Girl From Tomorrow (1992), Master Chef Canada, and Ocean Girl (1994)
Ocean girl… Need to do a rewatch so bad
Ocean girl… Rings a bell… But can’t really remember
Nery… Maybe Check YouTube
Watched a lot meanwhile…

@Jack… It’s okay toll now. I have read all books, the prequel series, the sequel series(actually its now already the sequel of the sequel🤣) … The series about Magnus and Alec, the one about Simon on the shadow hunter academy… I actually read the second book of the Alec and Magnus series…
The Netflix stuff has changes quiet some things… But it’s… Well… Okay. Better then the movie. Though I always imagined Jace more… Beautiful. He is described like that in the books. Looking like an angel with golden hair and almost golden eyes.
I struggled with Shadowhunters. The lead actress is too weak and Jace is pretty shocking too. It is a show I want to finish though.
Actually Clary was better in the movie… Lily Collins is just a damn well actress.
Jace is described as that over handsome Shadowhunters… Perfect in every inch… Everyone - no matter if guy or girl - is taken to him. He appears strong and the best fighter and still people wsnt to protect him.
The blood of the angel used on him, made him more beautiful then a human should be, and stronger in a physical way. In the books he can jump so high… He can fly. He often also gets compared with a lion on prey… The way he moves elegant and like his feet even don’t touch the ground.
That’s a hard role for an actor
Matthew Daddario who plays Alec in the tv series is the hot eye candy. Mmmm.
He is in the books too. He is only always staying in the back before meeting Magnus. Silent and closed up.
But he is described as the darker version to Jace in a way. But more earnest and responsible, scared if the way he feels. In the books he has that magical blue eyes that captivate Magnus at once. He is related with a straight Shadowhunters (Will Herondale) who had to make a deal with Magnus. Magnus then told Will he had paid already… I strongly believe Magnus did some magic that in the future a Shadowhunters with those eyes will be born that will not be straight. (that way Alec and Jace are even really if the same family. Jace is the grandson of Will Herondale, while Alec is the grand nephew of Will… All of that uncovers in the books… Cassandra Clare is an inspired and wonderful gifted author)
I wanted to give Shadowhunters a go because it looked like a colorful and visually pretty show (I’m shallow like that ), but didn’t get past the pilot. I didn’t even hold the weak writing and acting against the show, given those things are unfortunately par for the course for popular US teen-aimed shows. I just didn’t stick around long enough to get hooked into the show enough to not mind all of its weaknesses. Maybe someday.
Last thing I got into is The House of Flowers (La casa de las flores). It’s a very fun, dark-ish comedy about a dysfunctional upper-class Mexican family. Visually stunning too. And there’s some really strong acting as well (the actress who plays Paulina especially, she’s is very unique and good). I’m just going through it at a snail’s pace because my migraines are forcing me to significantly reduce unnecessary screen time.
@Slayerette I loved S1 of The House of Flowers, Paulina is amazing. However S2 it lost its spark and I still haven’t gotten round too the 3rd and final season.
You better read the shadow hunter books… They are able to make one addicted
I watched Kissing both finalky yesterday… And seriously I don’t understand the hype around the movies… It’s just the average teenage movie… Nothing great or special.
