What Have You Been Watching?

Well I have a master degree in literature so I have very high standards. Hunger games was okay on the entertaining base, while I just hate the movies. Eragon is splendid written for that Paoli I was fifteen when he wrote the first book, but the movie was one of the most terrible ever.

Cassandra CLARE has a lively writing style… Quit fresh natured and sharp tongued. The characters seem to be breathing. Do you know Cornelia Funke? Inkheart? (again the movie do terrible… Bleh) She is one of the best children and youth authors out there… I would tend to give Cassandra Clare a bit of her… Though Funke is even more artful…

I had the intention of watching S3 as soon as it was released on Netflix but as I was watching it with a friend it meant I wasn’t until I was seeing them next. And by that point my work colleague had watched it and said it was rubbish. I still haven’t seen it. Haha. It really lost its appeal with a certain someone missing.

Lately I have been really loving The Mandalorian :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I live with 4 roommates/housemates.
Three of them watched the first season together when it came out.
I didn’t be acuse I have never really been a big fan of Star Wars (I didn’t watch them when I was younger, only first saw them about four years ago in Uni because of friends who where big fans).
I liked it after watching, but I just don’t consider myself a big fan.

With the second season of Mandalorian coming out, however, I thought well I might as well binge the first season in order to watch the new one with my roommates as a fun activity together…
I had NO IDEA I would get this sucked in.

I absolutely love it and I have never been this interested in anything Star Wars before :joy: :two_hearts:

So now every Friday we have take-out together and then sit down for the latest episode

Jason and I are watching Doctor Who, he’s never seen it before so it’s good fun to watch together!
I’m currently binging season 5 of The Magicians, so sad it’s the last season :frowning:
Excited for the next season of The Expanse, that will be binged as well, mainly as an excuse to admire Steven Strait for several hours

@Danni what happened to Buffy?

@Jack we are still watching Buffy but have gotten distracted by other stuff. Thing with Buffy is new stuff isn’t coming out so it isn’t a rush to watch, whereas Doctor Who has new stuff coming out for Christmas!

I didnt know you was all doing a Buffy marathon i’d have joined in :joy:

I started back with S1 during the first lockdown I think. @Danni started sometime this year introducing Jason to the fantastic show so it’s just coincidence, wasn’t planned. I then resumed recently and S2 is where it really gets juicy. Catch up @Salene.

On Amazon: Now watching S6 of My Kitchen Rules Australia. Finished The Biggest Loser Australia S6. Currently on my rewatch of Buffy The Vampire Slayer halfway through S2. No progress with my first time watching The 100 still got to start S2.

On Netflix: Least watched platform for tv shows. Still watching S1 of Toy Boy and S3 of Shooter. Started S3 of Star Trek Discovery. Watched a nice pleasant rom-com movie called Falling Inn Love aswell.

On NowTV: Binged Riviera S3. This was epic and felt like a different show. How I love Georgina Ryland. Haven completed all 5 seasons. Completed both seasons of Big Little Lies. Big Love S1 I have begun, very slowly. And 4 seasons so far of Are You The One? So crap but so addictive.

On Another Source: Binged S5 of Australian Survivor, currently watching S6. Also still watching lots of Sunset Beach from a fan who uploads daily episodes of the old wacky USA soap. and watching most days The Bold and the Beautiful which airs on channel CCXTV in the UK.

Great Scott! (sorry that just suits now so well :joy::joy::joy:) how can you watch so many things?!

@Zwenja you already said this but this is not much as before. Trying to cutback.:rofl::rofl:

And it’s still the question :joy::joy::joy::joy:

But I finally finished Gilmore Girls… took me “only” four months :joy::joy::joy: I am a loser when it comes to watching series for earnest :joy::joy::joy::see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Started another show @Zwenja. Haha. Its a 10 part series based on a book by author Harlan Coben and its called ‘The Five’. Enjoying so far, I’m on episode 3. I’ve wanted to watch for sometime but never got round too it. There is a couple more of his books that have been also been televised, ‘The Stranger’ being my favourite.

The good Doctor

A million little things

The Tribe

Scandal

General hospital

Hell’s Kitchen

Excluding The Tribe, because I already did my rewatch, I want to watch all of the other shows you have listed except Hell’s Kitchen. General Hospital doesn’t air here but it’s my favourite USA soap opera.

Me and my Boyfriend always watch a show during dinner, like while we eat, and his current pick is Hell’s Kitchen, which usually I don’t watch a food show while eating but Gordon Ramsey is funny

I could watch things all day because I am back in extreme shielding now. Means also hardly seeing my family downstairs. Eating alone. Leering others do my shopping.

But somehow it’s “mewwww” I start things and switch it off almost after some minutes because I am bored :unamused:

On Scandal, Olivia Pope makes me feel how Ebony made me feel on the show :joy: Love her, hate her, wanna slap her through the screen at times, but ultimately love her. @Ash

I watched Olivia Pope only in the crossover eps they had with HTGAWM and Scandal. And just from that I get the whole like and hate thing @Patch.
